2530 Fire & Smoke Damper
The Advanced Air 2530 fire smoke damper is designed to meet the requirements of dynamic fire testing, offering low leakage at ambient and high temperatures during the fire test. Its main purpose is to close on alarm activation and to stay closed, maintaining the integrity of the fire-rated barrier and stopping the spread of fire, cold, and hot smoke, including toxic fumes.
The 2530 incorporates a blade profile of aerodynamic double skin construction with a metal-to-metal seal, interlocking opposed operation, achieving low leakage for smoke performance as stipulated in BS EN1366-2 with a classification of two hours in both horizontal and vertical installations.
The 2530 includes a unique and versatile jackshaft arrangement with an electrical thermal fuse rated at 74 °C. When reached the actuator power is disengaged, the actuator closes the blades within 15 seconds. The blades are then held in the closed position by the knee-lock mechanism, therefore not relying on the actuator to hold the blades closed. The 2530 damper is available with spigotted connections.
Various tested installation options are available and are detailed in our Installation, Operation and Maintenance manual. This product is both flexible and versatile and can be modified to meet most special requirements on size and installation.

Case
Case depth Default 113mm – with 150mm spigot and 75mm spigot as standard. (75mm spigot will increase when single blade damper are manufactured, see product drawings)
Should access doors be required to be fitted the 150mm spigot will increase to 225mm.
For existing/current projects the dampers will continue to be supplied with either a 125mm/250mm and 50mm spigots.
Units with a duct size under 200mm, circular and flat oval spigotted units will be supplied with additional step down spigots.
